אֲנִי דַּיְקָא!
וַאֲפִלּוּ אִם יוֹדֵעַ בְּעַצְמוֹ שֶׁמַּעֲשָׂיו מְקֻלְקָלִין הַרְבֵּה וְכוּ', וּכְבָר נִכְשַׁל בְּמַעֲשָׂיו פְּעָמִים אֵין מִסְפָּר, אַף-עַל-פִּי-כֵן – זֶה הַיּוֹם הוּא חָדָשׁ לְגַמְרֵי, וְיָכוֹל גַּם מִמְּקוֹמוֹ שֶׁהוּא שָׁם – לְהַגְדִּיל וּלְקַדֵּשׁ שְׁמוֹ יִתְבָּרַךְ, כִּי "בְּכָל מָקוֹם מֻקְטָר וּמֻגָּשׁ לִשְׁמִי" (מַלְאָכִי א'), "בְּכָל מָקוֹם" דַּיְקָא, אֲפִלּוּ בַּמְּקוֹמוֹת הַטְּמֵאִים לְגַמְרֵי שֶׁל הָעוֹבְדֵי עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁאָמְרוּ רז"ל (מְנָחוֹת ק"י) עַל פָּסוּק זֶה, מִכָּל שֶׁכֵּן אִישׁ הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִי, אֲפִלּוּ הַגָּרוּעַ שֶׁבַּגְּרוּעִים, מֵאַחַר שֶׁעַתָּה כַּוָּנָתוֹ לַשָּׁמַיִם וְרוֹצֶה עַתָּה לְהָנִיחַ טַלִּית וּתְפִלִּין וּלְהִתְפַּלֵּל וְכוּ' – שֶׁבְּוַדַּאי הוּא מְגַדֵּל וּמְקַדֵּשׁ שְׁמוֹ יִתְבָּרַךְ מֵחָדָשׁ כְּפִי אוֹתוֹ הַיּוֹם, שֶׁזֹּאת הָעֲבוֹדָה אֵינוֹ יָכוֹל לְהַשְׁלִים שׁוּם מַלְאָךְ וְשָׂרָף וְכוּ', וַאֲפִלּוּ נְשָׁמוֹת קְדוֹשׁוֹת שֶׁל יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁבְּגַן עֵדֶן הָעֶלְיוֹן אֵינָם יְכוֹלִים לְהַשְׁלִים הָעֲבוֹדָה הַזֹּאת … הַיְנוּ כְּמוֹ שֶׁאֲנִי הַיּוֹם בְּאֵיזֶה מַדְרֵגָה פְּחוּתָה – מֵאַחַר שֶׁאֲנִי חַי – אֲנִי דַּיְקָא צָרִיךְ לְהוֹדוֹת לְךָ, אַדְּרַבָּא כָּל מַה שֶּׁיּוֹדֵעַ בְּנַפְשׁוֹ שֶׁהוּא גָּרוּעַ וּמְקֻלְקָל בְּיוֹתֵר – עַל יָדוֹ דַּיְקָא יִתְגַּדֵּל וְיִתְקַדֵּשׁ שְׁמוֹ הַגָּדוֹל בְּיוֹתֵר.

Precisely Me
Even if a person knows himself that his deeds are extremely faulty, and he already fell through with his behaviors countless times, nevertheless – today is a completely new day, and he can grow and sanctify Hashem’s name today even from the place he’s currently at, for as the verse says: “In every place they bring incense and sacrifices for Me” (Malachi 1), precisely in “every place”, even in the most impure places of idol worshippers, as our sages teach on the above verse (Tractate Menachos 110). All the more so for a Jew, even the lowest of the lowest Jew, since his desire right now is for heaven’s sake, and he wants to put on a Tallis and Tefillin and pray right now, surely he sanctifies and grows Hashem’s name anew according to this current day, and this service he’s doing no one else can do instead, not even an angel or seraphim, and even holy Jewish souls resting in upper gan eden cannot complete this form of service… meaning, the way I am today, on some low level, since I am alive, precisely me, and only I have to praise You, for the more one knows on themselves how faulty and damaged they are, then through them Hashem’s name and glory will be grown and sanctified even more.
